I decorated an 8x10 page that says "Today's scriptures" and put it in a cute frame. I use a dry erase marker to update where we are in the scriptures and we hung it in our family room right by the TV. We have stilled missed a few days here and there, but it is easy to get back on track. We are currently right where we have set a goal to be and it feels great!!!
If you're looking for a great scripture reading schedule check out this book. You can read all the standard works in a one year or a two year schedule. Just write in your dates and you never have to "remember" where you should be in the scriptures.

And while we're on the topic of scripture study, I found this WONDERFUL website on Pinterest. She has the most comprehensive study guides for navigating a family through the scriptures. She is a seminary teacher and you can tell she really loves her job! I am inspired by her devotion to the scriptures and have really enjoyed the page titles, commentary and maps. I hope you find them useful too. You can access her site here.
